Louis Thibierge is a full professor (Agrégé des facultés de droit) at Aix-Marseille University.

He is the Head of the Department of Private Law. He is the director of both the DESU Economic Law and the Master 2 Droit Économique.

Professor Thibierge specialises in business law, with a particular focus on contract law and
arbitration law.

He is also an independent arbitrator and a member of the Paris Bar.

He frequently acts both as a counsel and as a legal expert in front of national and foreign courts.

He regularly publishes in various legal journals, both French and foreign.

He is the author of a PhD thesis on force majeure and hardship at Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Le contrat face à l’imprévu, dir. Pr. L. Aynès, Economica).
